Tasting Room
The Varney Wines Tasting Room allows guests an opportunity to be taken on the Varney Wines journey with a hosted tasting of our highly acclaimed portfolio. Sit back, relax, and take in stunning views of the Onkaparinga Gorge while being guided through a structured tasting of the Varney Wines range.
Guests can talk with our friendly staff, enjoy a tasting, and will have access to purchase our full range of wines, including limited release and Tasting Room exclusive wines.
Please note that group bookings larger than six guests can be made by email only, by emailing hello@varneywines.com.au. Please include the number of guests for the tasting and the occasion/reason for your visit, so that we can best tailor an experience to you.
For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, our tasting room is an 18+ years venue.
A tasting fee of $15 per person applies and is redeemable upon wine purchases.
Cooler months opening hours:
Friday and Saturday, 12 – 4pm and selected public holidays.

Tasting Room FAQs
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs are welcome on our verandah and outdoor areas, but must be on a lead at all times.
Please be aware, our venue is not gated or fenced.
Can I bring my children?
We offer a premium wine tasting and have a working winery onsite. For the safety and enjoyment of our guests we are an 18+ venue.
Do you charge for wine tastings?
Our guided tasting through our premium wine range costs $15 per person and is fully redeemable upon wine purchase.
Do I need to book ahead?
Online bookings are encouraged however walk-ins are more than welcome.
Can we bring a group to the Tasting Room?
We welcome wine tastings for groups of up to six guests. Bookings can easily be made online.

How long does a tasting take?
Our hosted tastings generally take between 30 and 45 minutes. This can of course be tailored to your timeframe.
Do you serve food?
Our Tasting Room does not have a restaurant and due to our small capacity, we do not permit picnics or BYO food.
There are many beautiful picnic spots within our region, as well some lovely restaurants; just ask our friendly staff who will be happy to provide you with some suggestions.
