"60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Touriga. Increasingly seeing wines made for easy drinking pleasure coming out of South Australia, more freshness and life, less oak, fruit driven and fun. It’s a good thing.
Mixed berries, scrub herb and lavender perfume, a little grilled meat and spice. The Touriga component lifts it nicely, as it so often does. Savoury, but kind of juicy too, light on its feet, a dusting of fine chalky tannin, pleasing ‘dryness’ you might say, and a tight and gently tannic finish of fair length. Stylish. And not trying too hard, which is lovely to see."
